In this paper, the active control models are formulated on the basis of the advanced control theory combined with the theory of mechanical vibration. In order to reduce total torsional vibration energy and control energy of turbogenerator shaft system, a global and optimum control method based based on linear quadratic form is brought forth, and simulation computer programs for continuous and discrete systems are compiled. Finaly, the simulation calculation for active control of torsional vibration is conducted in a domestic 200MW turbogenerator shaft system. Figs 6 and refs 2.
