摘要
Based on Grice's cooperation principle(CP),this essay attempts to explore the conversational implicature(CI) of English nonce words in comic humor with many examples from famous U.S sitcom Friends.From this new perspective,the paper proposes that the conversational implicatue in comic humor rcannot only be traditionally involved on sentence level,but also in new-coined words or phrases,so the reflection of the speaker's particular communicative needs can be exactly conveyed.
