Microstructure and Properties of Mg-xHo Binary Alloys

摘要 采用金相显微分析、X射线衍射、扫描电镜以及显微硬度测试等方法,研究了稀土元素Ho含量对Mg-xHo(x=6、8、10、15wt%)合金显微组织及力学性能的影响。结果表明,加入稀土Ho后,合金晶粒得到明显细化,其中Mg-10Ho合金的晶粒尺寸降至最小的20μm;加入稀土Ho后,合金在凝固过程中形成Mg24Ho5第二相,提高了合金力学性能。 The effects of Ho content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of as-cast alloys Mg-xHo(x=6, 8, 10, 15) were investigated by OM, XRD, SEM, hardness testing and universal materials testing. The results show that the grain size of microstructure is refined by Ho addition. For Mg-10Ho alloy, the minimum grain size is about 20 μm. The second phase of MguHo5 forms during solidification, which can increase the mechanical properties of the alloy.
