摘要
本文论述了地理信息系统（ＧＩＳ） 的组成、功能、特点以及在环境科学中的应用， 认为加快地理信息系统在环境规划、环境管理、环境监测等领域的应用， 对辅助环境决策部门的管理、决策工作有重大意义。加强ＧＩＳ支持下的环境决策支持系统（ＤＳＳ） 的设计开发工作已经成为当前环境规划与管理领域的一项重要的任务。
This article discussed the compositon, functions,characteristics of geographical information system (GTS) and its application to environment science. It has a great significance to quicken its application to some areas as environment planning, environment management, environment monitoring,assisting the environment strategy department to manage and to make policy decision.It has been an important task of present environment planning and management to strengthen the design and development of environment strategy supporting system(DSS) supported by GIS.
