摘要
本文以《申报》所载近代上海旅业公会资料为主体,同时查阅其他工商行业组织的资料,通过翔实的史料对近代上海早期旅业同业公会的成立时间、具体名称、性质、形成途径和原因及社会作用等情况进行考证和分析,揭示出上海早期旅业同业公会的产生是社会形势及旅业自身发展的必然产物,是传统与现代因素兼有的二元结合体,近代上海旅业同业组织从无到有,旅业由分散走向联合,旅业从业者主体性逐渐增强,思想渐趋近代化,这一历程与近代中国经济结构转型和行业组织自身现代化的要求相适应,与整个近代社会组织形态的成熟密切相关,同时也体现出上海旅业近代化历程中的若干特点,显示出不同的行业组织向新式同业公会的转变具有不同的特点,在一定程度上为近代中国同业公会的深入研究提供实证案例。
Based on the information from ＇Shen Bao＇ and other industrial and commercial trade associations, this paper examines the early hotel industry in Shanghai. This paper argues that the guild system of the industry came out with the development of the industry and society. It is also a combination of tradition and modernity. With the growth of modern guild system of hotel industry in Shanghai, the hotel practitioners strengthened their professional identity and modernized their thoughts. The progress of hotel industry in Shanghai meets the requirements ofmodem Chinese economic restructuring and the hotel industry itself, and has close relationship with the maturity of modern social or- ganizations; meanwhile, it also reflects several features in the process of modernization： it reveals that different industry organizations possess different features when they grow up into a new guild, and provides reference for further research into modem Chinese industry association.
