Application of Snake model in fingerprint segmentation

摘要 研究了指纹图像分割领域中目前已经成熟的或主流的方法,分析和比较了它们的优缺点。结合指纹图像的自身特点和Snake模型的分析,提出了一种有效的主动轮廓线模型分割指纹图像的方法。实验表明这种方法能够更加精确、高效地完成对指纹图像的分割。 This article studies in the fingerprint segmentation domain which is already mature at present or the mainstream method and compares their merits and detects.Based on the analysis of the Snake model and the fingerprint images,an effective active contour model for the segmentation of fingerprints is presented.Experiments show that improved Snake algorithm provides accurate high-resolution segmentation results.
