What Kind of Education Do International Students in China Need——On the Basis of Data from Four Universities in Shanghai

摘要进一步扩大来华留学生规模是我国教育改革和发展的一个重要目标,而要实现此目标,就必须深入了解留学生的想法,并在此基础上制定出能够吸引留学生的政策与制度。上海是我国留学生集聚程度最高的省市之一,因此上海高校留学生的数据对了解来华留学生的情况具有一定的代表性。对上海四所高校的问卷调查发现,目前我国政府和高校的有关规章制度,多从管理者的视角出发,一定程度上脱离了留学生的需要,造成留学生对来华留学教育的满意度相对较低。 To further increase the number of international students in China is one of the major targets of educational reform and development.In order to realize the target,it is necessary to understand comprehensively the opinions of international students.Shanghai is one of the provinces which have the highest density of international students.Therefore,to some extent,data collected among international students in Shanghai universities reflect the opinions of international students in China.Based on a questionnaire survey implemented in four universities in Shanghai,it is found that the current regulations made by the government and universities are usually based on the need of administrators,and therefore are divorced,in some degree,from the need of the students.As a result,the level of satisfaction among international students with education in Shanghai is relatively low.
