Objective To investigate the accuracy of blood group examination during first examination, second examination and affirmate test on blood donors from 2006 to 2008 years in Dongguan station, and in order to provide necessity data support for implementation electronic cross matching in the future in Dongguan area. Methods The error rate of 186 069 blood donors'group examination results from 2006 to 2008 years were analyzed retrospectively in every stage during first examination, second examination and affirmate test, and the error rate of blood group examination between the fixation blood donors and first blood donors were analyzed. The error rate range of first examination in literature were investigated also. Results The error rate of second blood group examination were lower than first blood examination obviously(P〈 0.05) ,and the error rate of affirmate test of blood examination were 0,which were all lower than first examination and second examination obviously (P〈0. 05). The error rate in fixed blood donors were lower than first blood dinors (P〈0. 05),and the error rate ranger were 0.04% to 1.16% in first blood examination in chinese literature. Conclusion The error rate of blood group examination were 0 during first examination, second examination and affirmate test from 2006 to 2008, The accuracy of blood group examnitaion in fixed blood donors were higher than first blood donors, which are meet to carry out elsctronic cross matching in the future in Dongguan area.
