以10krad、12krad和15krad3种剂量γ射线处理甘蓝型油菜品系721和908的风干种子。辐射处理的种子发芽势随照射剂量增加而下降,但发芽率并未受到明显影响。辐射处理对M1的株高及生长量有明显抑制,其中,受15krad辐射处理品系908出苗后55d全部死亡,721比908具有较强的抗辐射能力。辐射处理不同数量性状的效应不一致,对分枝部位的效应最显著。受10krad处理的M2株高和分枝部位降低,分枝数增加,但单株产量并无显著变化。从M2选出的低分枝部位突变体能稳定遗传。
Seeds from two Brassica napus lines, 721 and 908, were irradiated by γ ray at doses of 10 krad, 12 krad and 15 krad, respectively. Germination potential of treated seeds were decreased with the increase of irradiation doses, but the germination percentage was not significantly different between treatments and control. It was observed that significant inhibition of plant height and biomass occured in plants of M 1 generation, and that all the seedlings from 15 krad treated 908 seeds were dead at 55th days after sowing. Data from M 1 analysis showed that line 721 was more tolerent to γ ray than line 908. A number of quantitative traits were investigated to verify the effects of radiation, and the responses to γ ray treatment varied with traits considered. Of them primary branch height seemed most detectable in irradiation effects. Plant height and primary branch height in M 2 individuals derived from 10 krad treated 908 seeds were observed decrease and primary branch numbers increased, but no sustantial change of seed yield per plant was found. Mutants with reduced primary branch height in M 2 were identified and confirmed bred true through consecutive examination in following generations.
