摘要
标准文献元数据是对标准文献资源结构化描述的数据。标准文献从其产生到最终由用户使用的传递过程有着收集、加工、合成、利用等方面的诸多环节,通过元数据描述信息资源或数据本身的特征和属性,规定数字化信息组织,满足标准文献信息管理与检索需求,实现标准文献信息资源的共享和交换。标准文献元数据分为标准文献核心元数据和标准文献公共元数据,元数据的具体元素可采用摘要表示和字典表示两种方法进行描述。
Metadata of standards documents is the data that gives the structural description of standards resources. There are many stages in the life cycle of standards documents from development to final usage, such as collecting, processing, composing and using. The metadata describes the characteristic and attribute of the standards resources or the data itself, specifies the organization of digitized information, satisfies the requirements on management and search of the information, and achieves the share and exchange of the standards resources. Metadata of standards documents may be classified into two sorts which are core metadata and common metadata. There are two kinds of methods to describe the elements of metadata, whether by abstract denotation or by dictionary denotation.
