摘要
石黑一雄的小说《长日留痕》颇富象征性。作品借助带有虚幻色彩的空间环境、指向过去的田园时光以及苦苦思索自我身份的人物形象,不但描绘了一幅英国田园时光的怀旧画卷,也展示了主人公对怀旧情结与帝国身份的困惑和反思。本文认为,石黑一雄非西方的文化身份和修正主义的视角,使他得以通过人物与人物、人物和环境之间的象征性关系来揭示田园神话和帝国身份在当代文化背景下的虚幻性。
The Remains of the Day nostalgic landscape and reveals the by Kazuo Ishiguro is greatly symbolic. The novel portrays a hero＇s bewilderment and reflection on nostalgic complex and imperialness with the aid of illusive special environment, bygone-reminding pastoral moment, and of self-reflective characters. The paper holds that the writer＇ s non-Western cultural identity and revisionist＇ s perspective enable him to display the visionariness of pastoral myth and imperialness against the background of contemporary culture through symbolic relationships of characters with other characters and with environment.
