摘要
南京水利科学研究院图书馆扩建工程设计是一个在用地条件复杂、文化背景深厚的背景条件下具有可持续发展意义的设计。本文阐述了建筑设计过程中诸多因素的思考以及分析过程，以环境条件为设计基础，建筑文脉为设计切入点，人文情怀为设计基调，逐步形成目前的设计结果。设计者认为无论结果如何，设计过程本身仍然是值得记录与思考的。
The extension of the library of Nanjing hydraulic research Institute is located in a sophisticated surroundings, which has an enriched cultural background. Our goal is to provide a sustainable building, and also to pass down the context. In this paper, we try to explain our design philosophy based on architectural culture and humanism, and to record the study and analytical procedure.
