Jane Austen spends much space dealing with dramatic topic in Mansfield Park. Her dramatic topic has multiple functions as narrating the event, carrying out the plot, depicting characters, working out conflicts, and making cultural criticism. By dealing with dramatic topic in a brilliant way, Austen has made great contributions to the development of narrative fiction.
