摘要
闽东是开闽进士薛令之的故乡,唐宋两代科甲蔚为可观,但到明清时期,科举上几乎湮没无闻,这与元明以来闽东人口经济的破坏,教育文风的衰退及特有的人文特征都有内在的联系。
Ningde Prefecture is the hometown to Xue Lingzhi, the first successful candidate for the highest imperial exam in ancient China. The Tang and Song Dynasties witnessed a good production of a great number of successful candidates in Ningde for the imperial exam in ancient China. However, the number declined dramatically during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the candidates at thai time lay seldom known and recognized, which is mainly related to its close link with damages done to the population and economy in the Prefecture since Yuan and Ming Dynasties, the deterioration of education, and its unique cuhural characteristics.
