摘要
本文报道了1996年对海南甘蔗育种场甘蔗种质资源圃保育的甘蔗基础种质开展的种性研究、这是继1995年大规模甘蔗种质种性研究的第二次研究活动。研究分3部分：主要农艺性状与开花习性，品质（蔗糖分）测定和主要病害（甘蔗黑穗病和甘蔗嵌纹病）的抗性鉴定。通过研究对甘蔗基础种质有了基本的认识，并推荐一批优良材料作为基础杂交的亲本。
This paper teported the studies on cheracteristic of basic sugarcane germplasm conserved at Hainan Sugareane Breeding Station, SIRl, CNCLl, in 1996. It was seeond rescarch action on large scale continuned in 1995. There were three seetions in the studies: agticultural cheracteristic and flowering habit, qualilies (Sugar content ), and sugarcane discase resistellce. The cheracteristic of basic sugareane germplasm were ptobably colmprchended and some outstanding clones were recommended as parents for basic Crossing.
