Video Shot Detection Based on Scale Invariant Features

摘要 通过分析帧间的尺度不变特征点匹配数目随时间变化的性质来检测镜头边界,并提出2种帧间匹配机制——两两匹配机制和连续匹配机制.一个视频镜头内的特征点匹配数目具有平滑变化的特性,而在镜头边界处则表现出陡然变化的特性.通过将各类型的镜头切换统一于一种检测模式,可清晰地分割出镜头,避免模型选择和参数调整. Shot boundaries were detected by analyzing temporal evolution of the number of matched scale invariant features across frames, and two different measure schemes were proposed, namely pair-wise based matching and chain matching. The number of matched points within a shot usually varies smoothly, but changes rather markedly across shot boundaries. All kinds of shot transitions are detected within the same scheme, with the advantage of avoiding model selection and parameter adjustment.
