Algorithms for Background Extraction in Video Traffic Monitoring System

摘要 介绍了几种常用的背景提取算法,提出一种新的算法,其通过平均法得到一个初始背景,计算当前帧图像与初始背景图像的差,以该判断差值的大小来决定是否累积当前帧图像的灰度值,计数后再通过算数平均法得到背景图像。实验表明,该算法得到的背景效果良好,适用于视频交通系统。 This paper introduces some algorithms for background extraction in common, and presents a new algorithm for background extraction. This algorithm gets an initial background by averaging, accumulates the difference of present picture and initial background, judges the magnitude of difference to determine whether to accumulate the grey level value of the present picture, and then gets the background by averaging after calculation. The experiment shows that the algorithm can extract background effectively, which is suitable for video traffic monitoring system.
