美国营利性大学的办学特点及启示——以凤凰大学为例 被引量：6

摘要 美国凤凰大学是营利性大学中成功的典型。它始建于1976年，1978年获得美国北部中心协会高等学习委员会认证，到2002年时，已成为不仅是美国，也可说是世界上规模最大的营利性私立大学。2002年，它的总注册人数已达213，000人，在美国的25个州拥有116个办学点，并且具有本科、硕士、博士三个层次。凤凰大学的发展还在继续，它的注册人数以每年20％的速度在递增。它的创始人约翰-斯波林还准备在中国创办教学点。
