The current status of the research on some alternative fuels for vehicle engines, such as CNG, LNG, GTL, LPG, hydrogen, emulsified fuel, alcohol fuel, CWM, DME, bio-fuel, and DMC and introduced in detail. Meanwhile, the development trend of these fuels are presented.
