摘要
当网络以难以想象的高速度发展的时候，网络语言由于各行各业的人们的加入逐渐形成了自己的风格。可以说，因特网语是全球化的产物，其独特性与网络交流的特点和发展息息相关。本文拟简述英语因特网语的一些主要形式特征和语用功能及其发展变化。
With the rapid development of Internet, Internet language （IL）, a new language variety with its own style, is emerging. This paper attempts to give a brief characterization of the English variety of IL whose forms and functions can be seen as resulting from the nature of Internet as a new medium of communication.
