A Ray-Testing Approach to Automatically Identify Surface Visibility in Parting Line Generation

摘要 It is critical to identify core/cavity and undercut surfaces of molds in parting line generation. A new Ray-Testing approach is presented to detect these surfaces by identifying the visibility of surfaces. A simple, direct and efficient algorithm to identify surface visibility is developed.
