摘要
消偏器在实现低偏度(DOP)喇曼泵浦源、解决喇曼放大器(FRA)偏振相关增益(DOG)问题中有重要的作用。根据Febry-Perot(FP)激光器输出光谱的特点,从频域的角度分析用于多纵模激光器的晶体型消偏器的性能。仿真计算表明:1)消偏器的性能与光谱的半峰全宽(FWHM)有关;2)每个纵模谱宽的变化不影响消偏性能。由此得出最优晶体厚度与纵模间距及光谱的包络有关。提出了在满足DOP为5%的情况下,最优晶体厚度的估算方法。对于一般的FP光源进行消偏,晶体厚度可以节省1/3。
Depolarizer plays an important role in realizing Raman pump source with low degree of polarization (DOP) and in solving the problem of polarization dependent gain (PDG). According to the optical spectrum of Febry-Perot(FP) laser, the performance of the depolarizer for multiple longitudinal mode laser is analyzed in frequency domain. Simulation results show that:1) The FWHM of the spectrum has an effect on the performance of a depolarizer. 2) The spectrum width of every longitudinal mode has no effect on the performance. The conclusion is that crystal length depends on the mode space and envelope of the spectrum. A good estimation for designing the best crystal length with 5% DOP is presented. Crystal length will save one-third for depolarizing the common used FP laser.
