摘要国际城市区域在世界经济舞台上发挥日益重要的作用。作为国际城市区域中的二级城市不仅在全球城市体系中发挥作用,同时也在国际城市区域中担任重要的功能。文章认为波士顿既是全球城市,其科技产业、金融服务业具有全球功能的意义,但同时又是波士顿-纽约-华盛顿国际城市区域中的仅次于纽约的副中心,其城市功能具有双重区域意义。 Global city regions are increasingly playing an important role in the global economy. This paper argues that a second - tier city in a global city region not only plays important functions in the global urban system but also within the global city region. For this, it investigates the functions of Boston as a global city in terms of high - tech and financial industries, and at the same time, as a second - tier city in the New York global city region.
