提出了先进制造技术的定义及技术特征，并从总体上论述了先进制造技术的形成、发展过程，其技术内涵和层次，以及当代先进制造技术的发展趋势及技术前沿。
This paper refers to the definition and the technical characteristics for the advanced manufacturing technology. It not only generally expounds the formation,procedure,technical content and level of advanced manufacturing technology,but also the trend and the forward position of contemporary advanced manufacturing technology.
