摘要
This paper discusses the syntactic {unctions of the coordinate phrase. The following syntactic {unctions o{ the coordinate phrase are concluded: 1. It serves to complete a sentence when used adjectively； 2. It {unctions, as it is an essential condition for structuring the relationship in scope, as an element used in coordination with the relative noun and predicate relative words (VP, AP),; 3. It is used in coordination with the adverb as adverbial and numero-measure word phrase expressing a total in a sentence； and 4. It is used to meet some syntactic requirement or other in certain special constructions.
