FEL Opened Door for Extensive Applications

摘要 杰斐逊国家实验室升级的FEL获得了10kW的红外激光输出,使它成为了世界上功率最大的可调谐激光器。它的独特性能、高功率和24小时工作的能力对国防部、工业界和科学应用来说是十分理想的。评述了海军的FEL升级计划和取得的成果以及未来的发展,讨论了升级的10kW装置的各种应用。 Jefferson Lab's Upgraded FEL has achieved 10kW of infrared output power, making the tunable laser in the world even more powerful. Its unique, high-power and 24-hour capabilities are ideal for defense, industrial, and scientific applications. This article reviews Navy' s FEL Upgrade programs and achievements as well as future developments. The various applications of the upgraded 10kW FEL are discussed.
