摘要
目前,几乎所有的数值预报试验和业务模式对热带地区的预报效果都不如中高纬地区那样令人满意。其原因是多样的,也是很复杂的。如对物理过程的参数化不可能很完善,象辐射、凝结潜热等这些非绝热过程的处理都还存在许多问题,而这些物理过程的作用在热带地区更为重要。这样也会导致一些物理量的初始化不准确。另外,热带地区的常规观测资料远少于中高纬地区。
In this paper, the divergent wind in the tropics is estimated by transforming satellite-observed OLR data to a velocity potential field Then it is compared with that obtained from EC data. The difference in the velocity potential along the equator between two data sets is pronounced. The diagnostic analysis indicates that the evolution of kinetic energy is close to objective development if the OLR data are considered in the divergent wind field. Therefore it is possible to constitute a more precise wind field in the tropics by transforming OLR data to divergence and using the conventional data with suitable measures. These results are helpful to the diagnostic analyses and the assimilation scheme in the tropics.
