摘要
提问是课堂上外语教师常用的教学方法之一。从国外有关专家的研究中我们可以知道,提问技巧、提问内容与形式都能影响学生参与课堂活动的积极性。目前对外语教师课堂提问的研究大多集中在西方国家或我国香港。对中国大陆外语教师在这方面的研究寥寥无几,或欠全面。本文调查与分析了广东外语外贸大学的4位外语教师的课堂提问模式,从提问的类型、提问后的等候时间、提问的分布、提问技巧的运用、反馈形式与回答问题的方式等6个方面总结归纳了4位教师的课堂提问情况。在此基础上,笔者提出一些提高课堂提问技巧的原则。
Teachers' questions have been traditionally viewed as an important constituent of teacher talk in classroom context. And questioning pattern has received much attention ever since. Yet most studies and surveys have been carried out in the west or in Hong Kong, China. Therefore, the present article aims to present a survey on the questioning pattern of English teachers on the China's mainland, and tries to draw some implications for English teachers in China. The videotapes of four college English teachers in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies were transcribed by the researchers, who then analyzed the transcriptions. According to what is surveyed in the article, the researchers provide some implications and guidelines to English teachers.
