摘要
城市的基本功能是从城市发展的历史进程中,从人们的社会实践活动中,从人类自身生存和发展需要的进程中总结归纳出来的理性认识。城市的基本功能体现了人的本性和人的需要,反映了各个历史时期和各类城市的一般性功能。城市大体有六项基本功能,其中包括:城市的养育功能、城市的教育功能、城市的生产功能、城市的娱乐功能、城市的记忆功能、城市的管理功能。
The basic functions of a city are ra-tional knowledge resulted from the historical de-velopment of cities, peoples social activities andpractice, and humans needs of survival anddevelopment, The urban basic functions illus-trate the nature and need of man, and reflect theuniversal functions of cities of different histori-cal periods and all sorts of cities. In generalspeaking, City has some six basic functions, in-cluding the functions of cultivation, education,production, entertainment, memory andmanagement.
