摘要
以功能对等翻译理论为指导探讨英文药品说明书的翻译。分析了英文药品说明书的文本功能,提出相应的翻译方法,力求使译文与原文实现功能对等。同时认为,译者应把忠实原则引入到翻译过程中,保证译文信息传递的准确性。
Guided by Eugene Nida’s functional equivalence theory,the paper analyzes the textual func-tion of English patient information leaflet and offers the corresponding translation methods and strives for the functional equivalence between the target text and the source text.Meanwhile,translators should try to apply the fidelity principle into the translating process so as to ensure that the information transfer in translation is of veracity.
