摘要
青墩遗址在江苏省海安县城西北约28公里,属沙岗公社青墩大队。1973年8月,该大队在这里建立居民点时,开挖了一条纵贯全村,全长236米的青墩新河,发现大量的陶、石、骨器和鹿角、兽骨等古代遗物。1976年春,南通博物馆曾派人来这里调查,采集和征集了一些出土遗物,其中包括在江南一带良渚文化遗存中常见的璧、琮、坠、环等玉器(附录一)。1977年11月该馆还在这里作过一次试掘,开了两个小探方,面积只有25平方米。
The neolithic site at Qingdun is 1.5 kilometres southeast of Shagang town,28 kilometresnorthwest of the county seat of Haian,Jiangsu Province.Excavation of the site wascarried out by the Nanjing Museum in April of 1978 and April of 1979 respectively.Altogether,an area of 490 square kilometres was dug up.The surface of the site is only 3.8 metres above sea level,just a little above the sur-rounding country,and the cultural deposits beneath are 3.5 metres in depth.According tothe different properties and colours of the earth and the characteristics of the remains,thedeposits can be divided into three layers.The ruins of several wooden constructions werefound at the bottom of the lower layer.Tombs of the Neolithic Age were found nearly all over the testing pits and a total of98 graves were excavated in the two seasons of excavation.The graves can be divided intothree layers.The funerary objects found in them correspond roughly to the characteristicsof the relics found in the three cultural layers.The characteristics of the remains unearthed in the top,middle and bottom layers aresimilar in many respects to those of the remains of the Liangzhu Culture for the top layer,to those of the remains of the Songze Culture for the middle layer,and to those of theremains of the Beiyinyangying Culture for the bottom layer south of the Changjiang River,but they are rather different from those of the remains of the corresponding periods in theXu-Hai district.The excavations of the sites at Qingdun are of considerable significancefor understanding the Neolithic culture in the region lying between the Changjiang andHuai Rivers.
