摘要
现代华人社会中称说汉语的方式有许多种。历史和现实的考察表明,"华语""汉语"等不是简单的同指异名。这些称说方式同异交错,功能各异,因时地而定。称说汉语的方式多样性和不平衡性(包括历时的不平衡和共时的不平衡),是历时演变和共时差异的不同层次因素叠加的结果。导致这种多样性的主要因素是社会政治、经济和文化,它是社会认同多样性的结果。反过来说,也是社会认同建构的工具。"华语"也是实体,是语言研究的对象。今后相当一个时期将是多名并用,互相补充,这跟多样性的原则一致。符合历史和现实的实际。就汉语标准语而言,可以分为内称和遍称或跨境称,前者可称"国语"或"普通话",后者称"华语"。
The names for Chinese language among the Chinese community are diversified.Ananlys- is from the historical and realistic perspective leads to the conclusion that'H uayu'and'Chi- nese language'are not simply two alternative names for the same language.The diversified names differ in function and the use of context.As a product of diachronic evolution and syn- chronic difference,such a situation results from social,political,economic and cultural fac- tors,and from the diversity of social recognition. It is expected that the different names will continue to co-exist in supplement to each other,which is consistent with the principle of diversity and the historical and social reality. As far as the standard Chinese is concerned,the difference between the domestic one and the one abroad is justified.As for the former,Mandarin is the proposed;as for the latter,Huayu
