摘要
术语工作主要是术语本土化、术语规范化和术语国际化。术语本土化就是将外语中的科技术语引入到本族语中,引进的方式有意译、音译、形译以及一些变式,但意译优先。术语规范化主要有三项任务,即对术语的系统梳理、规范歧异术语和术语关联。术语国际化有两重含义,即术语输出和术语一致。术语输出既要靠科技事业的发展,又应有自觉的战略筹划。汉语的术语要注意与国际社会一致,但也要考虑文化多元化问题。文章最后强调了社会科学术语、少数民族术语和术语现代化的重要性。
The main work on terms includes three aspects: the nativelization of terms; the stand- ardization of terms; the internationalization of terms. The nativelization of terms means the introduc- tion of foreign scientific terms into native languages. The methods of such introduction include the translation on the basis of meaning, pronunciation and writing forms of foreign terms and other trans- lating patterns. Among them, the translation based on meaning is preferential. There are three pieces of work in the standardization of terms: the systemic arrangement of terms;the standardization of am- biguous and synonymous terms; the founding of association among terms. The internationalization of terms refers to the export and coherence of terms. The export of terms depends on not only the development of science and technology but also the conscious strategic plans. The Chinese terms need to keep coherence with foreign terms, but the problem of pluralistic culture should also be paid attention to. At last, this paper emphasizes the importance of social science terms, minority terms and the mod- ernization of terms.
