摘要
中国女市长是中国妇女中的一个杰出群体。本调查对中国女市长的基本构成、在各级政府改革和管理中的作用、执政中面临的困难及评价、对男女平等管理地方政府的建议等进行描述和分析，以探讨女市长参政的特点，促进妇女参与各级政府管理的政策改进，并促成中国女性政治文化的建构。
China's women mayors are an outstanding group among Chinese women. The current investigation de- scribes and analyzes the basic composition of China's women mayors, their function in the government's reform and management, the difficulties and assessment they face while they are in office and their suggestion to run the local govern- ment in the principle of sexual equality. It also explores the characteristics of women mayors participating in politics so as to promote women's participation in the management of local governments and policy improvement, enhancing Chinese women's political and cultural formation.
