摘要
车牌定位是车牌识别中的关键步骤。针对车牌区域内字符串具有丰富的纹理特征,本文提出了一种基于行扫描的车牌定位算法。该方法根据车牌纹理特征采用行扫描的方法确定出水平区域,再利用车牌的长宽比在水平区域内确定出左右边界。实验结果表明,此方法能比较准确的定位车牌,便于进一步的车牌分割识别。
License Plate Location is one of the important steps of License Plate Recognition. An algorithm of license plate location based on line scanning is proposed according to the abundant texture features in the domain of vehicle license plate.
