The paper briefly introduces the development trend in IMO future requirements for NOx emission from marine diesel engines, based on the relevant discussion and modification to MARPOL Annex Ⅵ on further reducing exhaust emission from marine diesel engines, analyses the impacts caused by these future standards and requirements, and provides the latest information for the parties concerned.
