摘要
本研究从新闻生产社会学视角出发,以俄乌冲突国际新闻核查为例,运用内容分析法,辅以深度访谈和二手资料,对五家中美事实核查机构的新闻生产展开比较,考察其在核查对象、核查信源透明度等九个维度上的异同,探索组织内外诸因素对生产的影响。研究发现,中美机构均注重时效性、公共性及可核查性。中国机构更新速度快,但在核查对象选择上相对受限,倾向于采取“策略突围”;美国机构的信源透明度更高,审核机制成熟,表达上主观情感更显豁。
Drawing upon the perspective of the sociology of news,this study compares performance of five fact-checking organizations in China and the United States during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.Through content analysis and semi-structured in-depth interviews,we examined the similarities and differences in timeliness,sources of claims,and transparency to explore the impact of organizational and institutional factors on the news production process.The study finds that all the fact-checkers emphasize timeliness,publicness,and the verifiability of claims.Comparatively speaking,Chinese fact-checkers are faster in producing and releasing news but encounter more difficulties in choosing and evaluating claims made by authorities,which are often realized in a roundabout way;the U.S.fact-checkers are more transparent in performing their tasks,employ well-established procedures,with more potent emotional expressions in their news.
