Objective To investigate the relationship between Helicobacter pylori and chronic respiratory diseases. Methods Conducted quality evaluation and METa analysis to literature on the infection of Helicobacter pylori and chronic respiratory tract infection in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria as of November 30,2016 with RevMan 5.2 software, the literature was searched from Google,China academic CNKI,VIP database,PubMed,Embase,Medline,Ovid,Wanfang database. Results A total of 9 case-control studies comprising 734 cases and 634 controls were included in the study. When CRDS compared with the control group,I2=29%<50%,the OR was 3.81(95%CI:2.86,5.11),P=0.19<0.05,>,and Z value was 7.52(P<0.05).In subgroup analysis, when COPDcompared with the control group,I2=44%<50%,P=0.13<0.05,OR was 3.45(95%CI:2.38,5.01),and Z value was 6.52(P<0.05),when Chronic bronchitis and ASThma group compared with the control group,I2=11%<50%,P=0.34>0.05,OR was 4.45(95%CI:2.81,7.06),Z value was 6.34(P<0.05).Conclusion the result suggests a significant association between chronic respiratory tract infection and Helicobacter pylori infection. The results of this study are only stage research results, and the correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and chronic respiratory disease is still need to be further verified by multi center and large sample.
