摘要
《忆秦娥·娄山关》描写的是红军在长征途中第二次攻克娄山关的情形。上阕写攻克娄山关后诗人的心情,下阕写黄昏战斗打响前的状况,充分表现了红军战士作战时的神速和声势以及完成长征的雄心壮志。《忆秦娥·娄山关》意象鲜明、意境雄浑,突出了毛泽东用兵如神的军事组织能力及其情感表达的文学底蕴。布洛克、巴恩斯通、许渊冲和李正栓都对毛泽东及其诗歌心怀崇敬,他们身处不同的时代和国家,深受历史语境和意识形态的影响,使《忆秦娥·娄山关》的英译版本呈现出不同的效果。论文运用译者行为批评理论对四位译者的译文进行评析,基于“求真—务实”连续统评价模式研究译者翻译内和翻译外的行为,从而对其行为合理度作出客观、全面的评价。
Yi Qin E:Loushan Pass describes the second battle of Loushan Pass in the Red Army’s Long March.The upper stanza reveals the mood of the poet when he heard about the victory of the battle,and the lower stanza tells about the situation before the battle at dusk.This poem fully displays the Red Army soldiers’amazing speed and momentum and the poet’s ambition to complete the Long March.It is clear-cut in imagery and forceful in artistic conception,highlighting Mao Zedong’s miraculous military organizing ability and literary insight.Michael Bullock,Willis Barnstone,Xu Yuanchong and Li Zhengshuan,born at different times and in different countries,all cherish a deep respect for Mao Zedong and his poems,and are deeply influenced by historical contexts and ideologies to produce different effects on their English versions.This paper applies translator behavior theory to analyzing the four English versions and studies their extra-translation and intro-translation behaviors based on the evaluation model of truth-seeking and utility-attaining continuum to make an objective and overall evaluation of the appropriateness of their behaviors.
