摘要
牛川不是一条河流,而是河流所冲击的河谷平原,是通往阴山漠北地区的一条南北交通要道。是登国初拓跋珪的王庭所在。其地理方位,在大漠及意辛山以南,鹿浑海及女水以东,长川及赤城以西,平城、参合陂、九十九泉、殷繁水及釜山以北。位于今察哈尔右翼后旗境内的韩勿拉河所冲击的河谷地区。其周边的薄山是韩勿拉山。釜山是泉玉林河北面的锡勒脑包山。殷繁水是今泉玉林河的中上游五德沟河。白鹿陂是今白音察干镇北面的白音淖海子。意辛山就是四子王旗乌兰哈达苏木境内的七层山。
Niuchuan was not a river,but a valley plain impinged by a river.The area was well-watered,suitable for grazing and hunting,and a major north-south traffic thoroughfare to the north of Yinshan Desert.As the seat of the royal court of Tuobao at the beginning of the country,it was located to the south of the desert and Yixin Mountain,to the east of Luhun Sea and Nushui,to the west of Changchuan and Chicheng,to the north of Pingcheng,Sanhepi,Jiuquan,Yinfanshui and Busan.It was in the valley area impinged by the Hanbera River.The surrounding mountain was Hanbera Mountain.Busan was Xilenao Hill,north of Quanyulin.Yin fanshui was the Wudegou River in the middle and upper reaches of the Yulin River.Bailupi was the Haizi of Baiyinao in the north of Baiyinchagan Town today.Yixin Mountain was the Seven-storey Mountain in Ulanhadashumu,Siziwangqi Area.
