摘要
文章尝试回答母国产业集聚对企业对外直接投资二元边际的影响,并重点考察了其作用机制。利用1998~2013年中国工业企业层面数据进行实证分析,结果表明:1)产业集聚对企业对外直接投资的集约边际和扩展边际均有显著正向影响;2)出口、生产率和FDI均是产业集聚促进企业对外投资二元边际的主要作用渠道;3)考虑行业差异后发现,在资本密集型和技术密集型行业中,产业集聚对对外投资二元边际的影响均显著,而劳动密集型行业的产业集聚对扩展边际的促进作用不明显;区域异质性的结果表明产业集聚对集约边际的影响从东到西逐渐增强,对扩展边际的影响从东到西逐渐减弱;另外,非国有企业的对外直接投资二元边际受产业集聚的影响大于国有企业。该文从产业集聚视角解释了企业对外直接投资的结构特征,并通过中介效应考察了其作用机制,进一步推动了这一领域的研究边界。
The article attempts to answer the dual marginal impact of industrial agglomeration in the home country on enterprises’foreign investment,and focuses on its mechanism.Empirical analysis using data at the level of Chinese industrial enterprises from 1998 to 2013 shows that:1)Industrial agglomeration has a significant positive impact on the intensive and expansive margins of OFDI;2)Export,productivity and FDI are the main channels for industrial agglomeration to promote the dual marginal effect of OFDI;3)After considering industry differences,it is found that in both capital-intensive and technology-intensive industries,industrial agglomeration has a significant impact on the dual margin of foreign investment,while industrial agglomeration in labor-intensive industries does not significantly promote the expansive margin;The results of regional heterogeneity show that the influence of industrial agglomeration on the intensive margin is weak from east to west,and the influence on the extensive margin is strong from east to west.In addition,the dual margin of OFDI of non-state-owned enterprises is more affected by industrial agglomeration than state-owned enterprises.This paper explains the structural characteristics of OFDI of enterprises from the perspective of industrial agglomeration,and investigates its mechanism through mediating effect,which further promotes the research boundary of this field.
