基于需求分析的专门用途英语教学研究

摘要 ESP(English for Specific Purposes专门用途英语)课程自2020年被《大学英语教学指南》纳入大学英语课程体系后,ESP的相关研究和实践进入了快车道,各高校纷纷开展学术英语和专业英语的实践。基于需求分析理论,对高校非英语专业学生发放调查问卷,共收回有效问卷255份。问卷结果表明:学生英语水平未达预期,英语学习的薄弱项是口语,学习英语的首要目的是增加工作优势;对于开设专门用途英语学生持赞成态度,认为ESP课程是未来大学英语的发展趋势,希望通过专门用途英语的学习提高其在专业领域的交际能力;学生乐意接受的教学模式为情景教学、案例教学和内容教学模式;学生更加偏好游戏、角色扮演等教学方式以及自编校本教材。如何平衡ESP教学侧与需求侧,将教学目标与学生的实际需求结合起来,必须在教材、教学模式、教学内容以及评价方式作较大变革,更好地将语言学习和专业学习相结合,提高人才培养质量。 Since ESP(English for Specific Purposes)was incorporated into the College English curriculum system by the College English Teaching Guide in 2020,the relevant research and practice of ESP have entered a fast lane,and universities have carried out the practice of academic English and professional English.Based on the theory of need analysis,questionnaires were distributed to non-English majors in colleges and universities,and 255 valid questionnaires were collected.The results of the questionnaire show that:The students'English level is not up to expectations,the weakness of English learning is oral English,and the primary purpose of learning English is to increase the advantage in work;It is in favor of offering ESP to students and believes that ESP learning is the development trend of college English in the future.It is hoped that ESP learning can improve their communicative competence in professional fields;Students are willing to accept situational teaching,case teaching and content teaching.Students prefer new teaching methods such as game learning,role play and self-compiled school-based textbooks.How to balance the teaching side and the demand side of ESP,and combine the teaching objectives with the actual needs of students,great changes must be made in teaching materials,teaching models,teaching contents and evaluation methods,so as to better combine language learning with professional learning and improve the quality of talent training.
