The quadrilateral discrete Kirchhoff thin plate bending element DKQ is based on the isoparametric element Q8, however, the accuracy of the isoparametric quadrilateral elements will drop significantly due to mesh distortions. In a previous work, we constructed an 8-node quadrilateral spline element L8 using the triangular area coordinates and the B- net method, which can be insensitive to mesh distortions and possess the second order completeness in the Cartesian co- ordinates. In this paper, a thin plate spline element is devel- oped based on the spline element L8 and the refined tech- nique. Numerical examples show that the present element indeed possesses higher accuracy than the DKQ element for distorted meshes. 展开更多

In this paper,a 13-node pyramid spline element is derived by using the tetrahedron volume coordinates and the B-net method,which achieves the second order completeness in Cartesian coordinates.Some appropriate examples were employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed element.The numerical results show that the spline element has much better performance compared with the isoparametric serendipity element Q20 and its degenerate pyramid element P13 especially when mesh is distorted,and it is comparable to the Lagrange element Q27.It has been demonstrated that the spline finite element method is an efficient tool for developing high accuracy elements. 展开更多

Isoparametric quadrilateral elements are widely used in the finite element method, but the accuracy of the isoparametric quadrilateral elements will drop obviously deteriorate due to mesh distortions. Spline functions have some properties of simplicity and conformality. Two 8-node quadrilateral elements have been developed using the trian- gular area coordinates and the B-net method, which can ex- actly model the quadratic field for both convex and concave quadrangles. Some appropriate examples are employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed elements. The nu- merical results show that the two spline elements can obtain solutions which are highly accurate and insensitive to mesh distortions. 展开更多

This paper presents a robust filter called the quaternion Hardy filter(QHF)for color image edge detection.The QHF can be capable of color edge feature enhancement and noise resistance.QHF can be used flexibly by selecting suitable parameters to handle different levels of noise.In particular,the quaternion analytic signal,which is an effective tool in color image processing,can also be produced by quaternion Hardy filtering with specific parameters.Based on the QHF and the improved Di Zenzo gradient operator,a novel color edge detection algorithm is proposed;importantly,it can be efficiently implemented by using the fast discrete quaternion Fourier transform technique.From the experimental results,we conclude that the minimum PSNR improvement rate is 2.3%and the minimum SSIM improvement rate is 30.2%on the CSEE database.The experiments demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms several widely used algorithms. 展开更多

Based on the Keynesian IS curve and MS-TVTP model,this paper studies the phase operating characteristics and driving mechanism of Chinese business growth cycle fluctuation by specifying output gap series through coincident composite index and estimating expectation variable through state space model.The results are that the influences of output gap expectation on business growth cycle are positive and the effects of real interest rate are negative.Both of them exert asymmetric features in different regimes.The estimation results of smoothed probability and transition probability show that the financial and investment composite indexes are the significant driving factors of business growth cycle switch among different regimes.Compared to promoting economic growth,the monetary policy plays a more effective role in decelerating the growth speed.Although the speed of investment’s influence during the economic downturn phase is rapid,the lag of its effects is lengthened due to the investment cycle and capital formation.Releasing reform dividend through stabilizing expectation and reducing the fluctuation of business cycle by employing the macro prudent government are important ways to maintain the steady growth of Chinese economy. 展开更多

The results show that the employed approach is a promising tool for solving many nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. Rooted lattice paths are defined. It is proved that the function CF(x, y) is a generating function defined on some rooted lattice paths with end point on y = 1. So, by a simple and unified method, from the view of lattice paths, we obtain two combinatorial interpretations of this bivariate function and derive two uniform partitions on these rooted lattice paths. 展开更多

This lets us give some general techniques for computing complete cohomology of complexes with finite Gorenstein AC- projective dimension. As a consequence, the classical relative cohomology for modules of finite Gorenstein AC-projective dimension is extended.
