For th...Two kinds of contact problems, i.e., the frictional contact problem and the adhesive contact problem, in three-dimensional (3D) icosahedral quasicrystals are dis- cussed by a complex variable function method. For the frictional contact problem, the contact stress exhibits power singularities at the edge of the contact zone. For the adhe- sive contact problem, the contact stress exhibits oscillatory singularities at the edge of the contact zone. The numerical examples show that for the two kinds of contact problems, the contact stress exhibits singularities, and reaches the maximum value at the edge of the contact zone. The phonon-phason coupling constant has a significant effect on the contact stress intensity, while has little impact on the contact stress distribution regu- lation. The results are consistent with those of the classical elastic materials when the phonon-phason coupling constant is 0. For the adhesive contact problem, the indentation force has positive correlation with the contact displacement, but the phonon-phason cou- pling constant impact is barely perceptible. We aimed to reuse the propylene oxide sludge(POS).Propylene oxide sludge shell-aggregate(POSS-A)and propylene oxide sludge gradient shell-aggregate(POSGS-A)whose main hydrated phase is tobermorite were successfully ma...We aimed to reuse the propylene oxide sludge(POS).Propylene oxide sludge shell-aggregate(POSS-A)and propylene oxide sludge gradient shell-aggregate(POSGS-A)whose main hydrated phase is tobermorite were successfully manufactured by the hydrothermal synthesis of POS and silica materials under the condition of autoclaved(180℃,1.0 MPa)curing.Influences of pre-wetting time of coarse aggregate and pressure application mode on the different concretes were investigated.The experimental results show that the concrete with POSS-A as coarse aggregate(POSS-A concrete),the concrete with POS gradient shell-aggregate as coarse aggregate(POSGS-A concrete),sintered aggregate concrete and common concrete,all have excellent impermeability performance whatever the pre-wetting time of coarse aggregate is 0.5 h or 24 h,and the pre-wetting time of coarse aggregate has a negligible influence on the concrete.The influence degree of pressure application mode on the impermeability performance of the sintered aggregate concrete is the greatest among three kinds of concrete,which has a negligible influence on impermeability performance of the other concretes.POSGS-A can be used as a green building light aggregate in hydraulic concrete.展开更多

We show that the partial derivatives of the inverse Bernstein polynomial An (g) converge uniformly to the corresponding partial derivatives of g at the rate 1/n. We also consider multivariate interpolation for the BB-coefficients, and provide effective interpolation formulas by using Bernstein polynomials with ridge form which essentially possess the nature of univariate polynomials in computation, and show that Bernstein polynomials with ridge form with least degree can be constructed for interpolation purpose, and thus a computational algorithm is provided correspondingly.展开更多
Taking the strain tensor, the scalar damage variable, and the damage gradient as the state variables of the Helmholtz free energy, the general expressions of the firstorder gradient damage constitutive equations are d...Taking the strain tensor, the scalar damage variable, and the damage gradient as the state variables of the Helmholtz free energy, the general expressions of the firstorder gradient damage constitutive equations are derived directly from the basic law of irreversible thermodynamics with the constitutive functional expansion method at the natural state. When the damage variable is equal to zero, the expressions can be simplified to the linear elastic constitutive equations. When the damage gradient vanishes, the expressions can be simplified to the classical damage constitutive equations based on the strain equivalence hypothesis. A one-dimensional problem is presented to indicate that the damage field changes from the non-periodic solutions to the spatial periodic-like solutions with stress increment. The peak value region develops a localization band. The onset mechanism of strain localization is proposed. Damage localization emerges after damage occurs for a short time. Usually, the positive data set and the negative data set are of the same si...In gene prediction, the Fisher discriminant analysis (FDA) is used to separate protein coding region (exon) from non-coding regions (intron). Usually, the positive data set and the negative data set are of the same size if the number of the data is big enough. But for some situations the data are not sufficient or not equal, the threshold used in FDA may have important influence on prediction results. This paper presents a study on the selection of the threshold. The eigen value of each exon/intron sequence is computed using the Z-curve method with 69 variables. The experiments results suggest that the size and the standard deviation of the data sets and the threshold are the three key elements to be taken into consideration to improve the prediction results.展开更多
Here we introduce generalized momentum and coordinate to transform seismic wave displacement equations into Hamiltonian system.We define the Lie operators associated with kinetic and potential energy,and construct a n...Here we introduce generalized momentum and coordinate to transform seismic wave displacement equations into Hamiltonian system.We define the Lie operators associated with kinetic and potential energy,and construct a new kind of second order symplectic scheme,which is extremely suitable for high efficient and long-term seismic wave simulations.Three sets of optimal coefficients are obtained based on the principle of minimum truncation error.We investigate the stability conditions for elastic wave simulation in homogeneous media.These newly developed symplectic schemes are compared with common symplectic schemes to verify the high precision and efficiency in theory and numerical experiments.One of the schemes presented here is compared with the classical Newmark algorithm and third order symplectic scheme to test the long-term computational ability.The scheme gets the same synthetic surface seismic records and single channel record as third order symplectic scheme in the seismic modeling in the heterogeneous model.展开更多
