The pear(Pyrus spp.)is well known for diverse flavors,textures,and global horticultural importance.However,the genetic diversity responsible for its extensive phenotypic variations remains largely unexplored.Here,we d...The pear(Pyrus spp.)is well known for diverse flavors,textures,and global horticultural importance.However,the genetic diversity responsible for its extensive phenotypic variations remains largely unexplored.Here,we de novo assembled and annotated the genomes of the maternal(PsbM)and paternal(PsbF)lines of the hybrid‘Yuluxiang'pear and constructed the pear pangenome of 1.15 Gb by combining these two genomes with five previously published pear genomes representing cultivated and wild germplasm.Using the constructed pangenome,we identified 21224 gene PAVs(Presence-absence variation)and 1158812 SNPs(Single Nucleotide Polymorphism)in the non-reference genome that were absent in the PsbM reference genome.Compared with SNP markers,PAV-based analysis provides additional insights into the pear population structure.In addition,some genes associated with pear fruit quality traits have differential occurrence frequencies and differential gene expression between Asian and European populations.Moreover,our analysis of the pear pangenome revealed a mutated SNP and an insertion in the promoter region of the gene PsbMGH3.1 potentially enhance sepal shedding in‘Xuehuali'which is vital for pear quality.PsbMGH3.1 may play a role in the IAA pathway,contributing to a distinct low-auxin phenotype observed in plants by heterologously overexpressing this gene.This research helps capture the genetic diversity of pear populations and provides genomic resources for accelerating breeding.展开更多

The 39-year-old apricot trees, with plant and row spacing of 3.0 m×4.0 m, were selected as the test materials, and the effects of contents of 7 kinds of mineral elements on the fruit cracking in apricot were analyzed. The results of variance analysis showed the intensity of correlation between mineral element content and apricot fruit cracking ranked as Ca's 〉 Zn's 〉 Mn's 〉 Fe's 〉 K's 〉 Mg's 〉 Cu's, The content of Ca was negatively correlated with cracking index, and the correlation ,coefficient was larger; the correlations between the contents of Zn and Mn and cracking index were weaker; and the correlations between the contents of Fe, K, Mg and Cu and cracking index were extremely weak. In conclusion, Ca deficiency is the main factor affecting fruit cracking in apricot.展开更多

Different pressures and different durations of ultra-high pressure treatment were conducted for persimmon pulp after vacuum packing.The results showed that with the increase of pressure and extension of duration,the t...Different pressures and different durations of ultra-high pressure treatment were conducted for persimmon pulp after vacuum packing.The results showed that with the increase of pressure and extension of duration,the total number of bacteria in persimmon pulp decreased gradually.The treatment at 400 MPa for 15 min could meet the requirement of commercial sterility.After treatment,the color and the contents of soluble sugar,soluble solids and titratable acid of persimmon pulp were not changed significantly compared with the control group(P >0.05).The content of vitamin C in persimmon pulp declined gradually with the increase in pressure and time,with the maximum loss of 8.06% observed at 600 MPa for 20 min.Peroxidase( POD) activity also declined gradually with the increase of pressure and time.The activity of polyphenol oxidase( PPO) declined gradually with the increase of time,and increased first and then decreased with the increase of pressure.The content of polyphenols increased first and then decreased with the increase in pressure,and tended to increase overall with the increase in time.Under the treatment of 400 MPa for 20 min,the content of polyphenols reached the maximum.The antioxidant capacity of persimmon pulp after ultra-high pressure treatment was higher than that in the control group,but no significant differences were found among the treatment groups( P > 0.05).Compared with the control group,soluble tannin content was increased after ultra-high pressure treatment,but was far below the critical value for astringency(2 mg/g).In conclusion,ultra-high pressure treatment has only a slight effect on the sensory quality of persimmon pulp and can maintain its nutritional quality to a large extent and improve its antioxidant capacity.Moreover,ultra-high pressure treatment can eliminate astringency completely.展开更多

The average fruit weight is65.5 g, and the maximum value is 106 g. The flesh is orange, fine with very less fiber, toughness, less juice and freestone, and tastes sour and sweet. The soluble solid content is 12.5%. The edible rate is 95.8%. The fruit skin hardness is 12.9 kg/cm2 and storable. The preserved apricots have orange color and are tasty. The preserved yield is 40%. The fruit development period is 72 d. The fruit has high yield, and the fruit yield in full fruit period can reach 37 000 kg/hm2. ‘Jinxiu' was examined and approved by Hebei Examination and Approval Committee of Forest Tree Variety in 2013.展开更多
‘Concord’,the most well-known juice grape with a parentage of the North American grape species Vitis labrusca L.,possesses a special‘foxy’aroma predominantly resulted from the accumulation of methyl anthranilate(M...‘Concord’,the most well-known juice grape with a parentage of the North American grape species Vitis labrusca L.,possesses a special‘foxy’aroma predominantly resulted from the accumulation of methyl anthranilate(MA)in berries.This aroma,however,is often perceived as an undesirable attribute by wine consumers and rarely noticeable in the common table and wine grape species V.vinifera.Here we discovered homology-induced promoter indels as a major genetic mechanism for species-specific regulation of a key‘foxy’aroma gene,anthraniloyl-CoA:methanol acyltransferase(AMAT),that is responsible for MA biosynthesis.We found the absence of a 426-bp and/or a 42-bp sequence in AMAT promoters highly associated with high levels of AMAT expression and MA accumulation in‘Concord’and other V.labrusca-derived grapes.These promoter variants,all with direct and inverted repeats,were further confirmed in more than 1,300 Vitis germplasm.Moreover,functional impact of these indels was validated in transgenic Arabidopsis.Superimposed on the promoter regulation,large structural changes including exonic insertion of a retrotransposon were present at the AMAT locus in some V.vinifera grapes.Elucidation of the AMAT genetic regulation advances our understanding of the‘foxy’aroma trait and makes it genetically trackable and amenable in grapevine breeding.展开更多

Grape pistil has an important influence on fruit size and quality.However,there were few studies on grape ovary,and the development process of the ovary is still unclear.Therefore,in this paper,four different grape va...Grape pistil has an important influence on fruit size and quality.However,there were few studies on grape ovary,and the development process of the ovary is still unclear.Therefore,in this paper,four different grape varieties with different lengths of small inflorescences,namely‘Musct Hambourg’grape(Vitis vinifera),‘Concord’grape(Vitis labrusca),‘ShanPuTao’grape(Vitis amurensis)and‘GongNiang2Hao’grape(Vitis amurensis×Vitis vinifera)were used as test materials.Four varieties ovary were significant differences by means of stereomicroscope,paraffin section.The expression of ovary determining gene VvAGAMOUS(VvAG)and its development related genes VvCRABS CLAW(VvCRC)and VvAGAMOUS-LIKE 11(VvAGL11)with similar functions during the development of different grape varieties were preliminarily explored using fluorescence quantitative test.The relationship between VvAG and VvCRC,VvAG and VvAGL11 were analyzed using Y1H assay.Our results showed that there were obvious abdominal sutures on the surface of expect for‘Musct Hambourg’grape,and existing poly carpels.The ovary development of‘ShanPuTao’and‘GongNiang2Hao’grape was completed when the inflorescence length was less than 1 cm,while the‘Concord’and‘Musct Hambourg’grape were fully developed when the length of inflorescence was 3–4 and 4–5 cm,respectively.VvAG and VvCRC began to express in large quantities after the formation of stamen primordia,while VvAGL11 during the forming of ovule primordia.Therefore,VvAG and VvCRC mainly regulated the development of stamens and carpels and also promote the development of ovules,while VvAGL11 major regulated the development of ovules.The promoters of VvCRC and VvAGL11 were bound by VvAG.This study provides an important theoretical basis for further research on the molecular mechanism of grape ovary development.展开更多

[Objectives] This study was to determine the correlations of stem taperingness with small central shaft total roughness,average roughness,total length,and average length by slender spindle pruning mode on different ap...[Objectives] This study was to determine the correlations of stem taperingness with small central shaft total roughness,average roughness,total length,and average length by slender spindle pruning mode on different apple cultivars. [Methods]A total of 2 tree structures were selected,namely,the slender spindleshaped Zhongqiuwang from Shen County of Hebei Province and slender spindle-shaped short shoot Fuji from Xingtang County of Hebei Province,to investigate the growth indicators of the small central shafts. SPSS analysis was used to compare the correlations between the taperingness with the growth factors of the small central shafts. [Results]The stem taperingness on slender spindle-shaped Zhongqiuwang was positively correlated with the various growth factors of the small central shaft,and the difference in the positive correlation with average roughness reached the extremely significant level. The stem taperingness of slender spindle-shaped short shoot Fuji was negatively correlated with the total roughness of small central shaft,but was positively correlated with the average roughness,total length and average length. [Conclusions] The results provided scientific and theoretical basis for guiding the dense planting of dwarfing apple tree pruning technology.展开更多

To understand the anthocyanin characteristics of wine grape varieties,the anthocyanin composition and content of 31 wine grape varieties were analyzed to explore the use of anthocyanins as chemical fingerprints to dis...To understand the anthocyanin characteristics of wine grape varieties,the anthocyanin composition and content of 31 wine grape varieties were analyzed to explore the use of anthocyanins as chemical fingerprints to distinguish varieties.Results showed that a total of 21 anthocyanins were detected in the skins,including cyanidin,delphinidin,petunidin,peonidin and malvidin 3-monoglucosides(or 3,5-diglucosides)along with the corresponding acetyl and p-coumaroyl derivatives.The highest and lowest total amount of anthocyanins were detected in‘Ruby Cabernet’and‘Muscat Rouge’,respectively.In the 21 Vitis vinifera grapes,there were 3~11 monoglucoside anthocyanins detected,however,there were 4 to 9 monoglucoside anthocyanins and 1~7 diglucoside anthocyanins detected in the 10 other species of grapes.Except for‘Zhesexiang’‘Seibel Noir’,‘44-6-7-1’and‘Beibinghong’,the contents of diglucoside anthocyanins in the other six varieties accounted for more than 52%of the total anthocyanins.Except for‘Zhesexiang’,‘Muscat Rouge’and‘Beibinghong’,the content of methylated anthocyanins accounted for more than 75%of total anthocyanins.There were significant differences in the anthocyanin types and contents in the skins among V.vinifera and other grapes.The results of the principal component analysis and the cluster classification of 31 grape varieties(lines)were nearly consistent,which suggested that anthocyanins can be used as chemical fingerprints to distinguish wine grape varieties.展开更多

The results of variance analysis showed the intensity of correlation between mineral element content and apricot fruit cracking ranked as Ca's 〉 Zn's 〉 Mn's 〉 Fe's 〉 K's 〉 Mg's 〉 Cu's, The content of Ca was negatively correlated with cracking index, and the correlation ,coefficient was larger; the correlations between the contents of Zn and Mn and cracking index were weaker; and the correlations between the contents of Fe, K, Mg and Cu and cracking index were extremely weak. In conclusion, Ca deficiency is the main factor affecting fruit cracking in apricot.

Most studies have shown that proper nitrogen application can improve internal quality of fruit, and excessive nitrogen application can reduce soluble solid and sugar contents of fruit, increase organic acid content, reduce fruit aroma, increase protein and amino acid contents, and increase or reduce vitamin C content. Relevant issues were discussed.

文摘Different pressures and different durations of ultra-high pressure treatment were conducted for persimmon pulp after vacuum packing.The results showed that with the increase of pressure and extension of duration,the total number of bacteria in persimmon pulp decreased gradually.The treatment at 400 MPa for 15 min could meet the requirement of commercial sterility.After treatment,the color and the contents of soluble sugar,soluble solids and titratable acid of persimmon pulp were not changed significantly compared with the control group(P >0.05).The content of vitamin C in persimmon pulp declined gradually with the increase in pressure and time,with the maximum loss of 8.06% observed at 600 MPa for 20 min.Peroxidase( POD) activity also declined gradually with the increase of pressure and time.The activity of polyphenol oxidase( PPO) declined gradually with the increase of time,and increased first and then decreased with the increase of pressure.The content of polyphenols increased first and then decreased with the increase in pressure,and tended to increase overall with the increase in time.Under the treatment of 400 MPa for 20 min,the content of polyphenols reached the maximum.The antioxidant capacity of persimmon pulp after ultra-high pressure treatment was higher than that in the control group,but no significant differences were found among the treatment groups( P > 0.05).Compared with the control group,soluble tannin content was increased after ultra-high pressure treatment,but was far below the critical value for astringency(2 mg/g).In conclusion,ultra-high pressure treatment has only a slight effect on the sensory quality of persimmon pulp and can maintain its nutritional quality to a large extent and improve its antioxidant capacity.Moreover,ultra-high pressure treatment can eliminate astringency completely.

文摘‘Jinxiu' is a processing apricot(Armeniaca vulgaris L.) cultivar derived from the cross of ‘Chuanzhihong'בJintaiyang'.The fruit is oval-shaped with the ground color of orange and 1/4-1/2 sheet red in the surface. The average fruit weight is65.5 g, and the maximum value is 106 g. The flesh is orange, fine with very less fiber, toughness, less juice and freestone, and tastes sour and sweet. The soluble solid content is 12.5%. The edible rate is 95.8%. The fruit skin hardness is 12.9 kg/cm2 and storable. The preserved apricots have orange color and are tasty. The preserved yield is 40%. The fruit development period is 72 d. The fruit has high yield, and the fruit yield in full fruit period can reach 37 000 kg/hm2. ‘Jinxiu' was examined and approved by Hebei Examination and Approval Committee of Forest Tree Variety in 2013.

文摘‘Concord’,the most well-known juice grape with a parentage of the North American grape species Vitis labrusca L.,possesses a special‘foxy’aroma predominantly resulted from the accumulation of methyl anthranilate(MA)in berries.This aroma,however,is often perceived as an undesirable attribute by wine consumers and rarely noticeable in the common table and wine grape species V.vinifera.Here we discovered homology-induced promoter indels as a major genetic mechanism for species-specific regulation of a key‘foxy’aroma gene,anthraniloyl-CoA:methanol acyltransferase(AMAT),that is responsible for MA biosynthesis.We found the absence of a 426-bp and/or a 42-bp sequence in AMAT promoters highly associated with high levels of AMAT expression and MA accumulation in‘Concord’and other V.labrusca-derived grapes.These promoter variants,all with direct and inverted repeats,were further confirmed in more than 1,300 Vitis germplasm.Moreover,functional impact of these indels was validated in transgenic Arabidopsis.Superimposed on the promoter regulation,large structural changes including exonic insertion of a retrotransposon were present at the AMAT locus in some V.vinifera grapes.Elucidation of the AMAT genetic regulation advances our understanding of the‘foxy’aroma trait and makes it genetically trackable and amenable in grapevine breeding.

文摘As the most widely consumed beverage in the world,tea has various nutritional,economic,and global cultural values.With the development of the third-generation sequencing technology,several genome sequences of tea plants have been published.These genomic data have pivotal information that is of benefit to tea plant breeders and biologists in advancing tea plant improvement and the final quality of tea products.We hereby present the integrative online database,Tea Plant Genome Database(TeaPGDB;http://eplant.njau.edu.cn/tea),which incorporates the published genome sequences of tea plants.The current release of TeaPGDB hosts published tea plant genome data with various online tools,including JBrowse,gene search,SSR search,BLAST.TeaPGDB also contains a download server,which provides access for the download of genome-related data and rich annotation files.TeaPGDB is committed to collecting,integrating,and annotating published tea plant genome data,providing data support for research on tea plant heredity,evolution,breeding for resistance,plant improvement,and facilitating the characterization of important traits or flavor related genes in the community.Compared with other tea plant databases,this database not only contains more complete genome data and gene annotation information,but also has a user-friendly interface for researchers in the field.

文摘Intercropping,as one of the complex ecological cultivations,is an important tea plantation pattern.Compared to sole-cropping tea plantations,intercropping can improve the above-and below-ground environment,which is beneficial to tea plant growth,the formation of high tea quality and the increase of tea yield.In this review,we summarized the impacts of intercropping on the tea plantation environment(microclimate,biomass,soil nutrients,microorganisms and heavy metals),tea plants growth and tea yield.We then analyzed how intercropping affects the growth and metabolism of tea plants based on the impact of intercropping on the environment.As a result,the achievements and progress of tea plantation intercropping are summarized,the remaining problems of the current research on intercropping tea plantations are highlighted,and provide new insights for the advanced research of intercropping in tea plantations.

文摘Grape pistil has an important influence on fruit size and quality.However,there were few studies on grape ovary,and the development process of the ovary is still unclear.Therefore,in this paper,four different grape varieties with different lengths of small inflorescences,namely‘Musct Hambourg’grape(Vitis vinifera),‘Concord’grape(Vitis labrusca),‘ShanPuTao’grape(Vitis amurensis)and‘GongNiang2Hao’grape(Vitis amurensis×Vitis vinifera)were used as test materials.Four varieties ovary were significant differences by means of stereomicroscope,paraffin section.The expression of ovary determining gene VvAGAMOUS(VvAG)and its development related genes VvCRABS CLAW(VvCRC)and VvAGAMOUS-LIKE 11(VvAGL11)with similar functions during the development of different grape varieties were preliminarily explored using fluorescence quantitative test.The relationship between VvAG and VvCRC,VvAG and VvAGL11 were analyzed using Y1H assay.Our results showed that there were obvious abdominal sutures on the surface of expect for‘Musct Hambourg’grape,and existing poly carpels.The ovary development of‘ShanPuTao’and‘GongNiang2Hao’grape was completed when the inflorescence length was less than 1 cm,while the‘Concord’and‘Musct Hambourg’grape were fully developed when the length of inflorescence was 3–4 and 4–5 cm,respectively.VvAG and VvCRC began to express in large quantities after the formation of stamen primordia,while VvAGL11 during the forming of ovule primordia.Therefore,VvAG and VvCRC mainly regulated the development of stamens and carpels and also promote the development of ovules,while VvAGL11 major regulated the development of ovules.The promoters of VvCRC and VvAGL11 were bound by VvAG.This study provides an important theoretical basis for further research on the molecular mechanism of grape ovary development.

文摘[Objectives] This study was to determine the correlations of stem taperingness with small central shaft total roughness,average roughness,total length,and average length by slender spindle pruning mode on different apple cultivars. [Methods]A total of 2 tree structures were selected,namely,the slender spindleshaped Zhongqiuwang from Shen County of Hebei Province and slender spindle-shaped short shoot Fuji from Xingtang County of Hebei Province,to investigate the growth indicators of the small central shafts. SPSS analysis was used to compare the correlations between the taperingness with the growth factors of the small central shafts. [Results]The stem taperingness on slender spindle-shaped Zhongqiuwang was positively correlated with the various growth factors of the small central shaft,and the difference in the positive correlation with average roughness reached the extremely significant level. The stem taperingness of slender spindle-shaped short shoot Fuji was negatively correlated with the total roughness of small central shaft,but was positively correlated with the average roughness,total length and average length. [Conclusions] The results provided scientific and theoretical basis for guiding the dense planting of dwarfing apple tree pruning technology.

文摘To understand the anthocyanin characteristics of wine grape varieties,the anthocyanin composition and content of 31 wine grape varieties were analyzed to explore the use of anthocyanins as chemical fingerprints to distinguish varieties.Results showed that a total of 21 anthocyanins were detected in the skins,including cyanidin,delphinidin,petunidin,peonidin and malvidin 3-monoglucosides(or 3,5-diglucosides)along with the corresponding acetyl and p-coumaroyl derivatives.The highest and lowest total amount of anthocyanins were detected in‘Ruby Cabernet’and‘Muscat Rouge’,respectively.In the 21 Vitis vinifera grapes,there were 3~11 monoglucoside anthocyanins detected,however,there were 4 to 9 monoglucoside anthocyanins and 1~7 diglucoside anthocyanins detected in the 10 other species of grapes.Except for‘Zhesexiang’‘Seibel Noir’,‘44-6-7-1’and‘Beibinghong’,the contents of diglucoside anthocyanins in the other six varieties accounted for more than 52%of the total anthocyanins.Except for‘Zhesexiang’,‘Muscat Rouge’and‘Beibinghong’,the content of methylated anthocyanins accounted for more than 75%of total anthocyanins.There were significant differences in the anthocyanin types and contents in the skins among V.vinifera and other grapes.The results of the principal component analysis and the cluster classification of 31 grape varieties(lines)were nearly consistent,which suggested that anthocyanins can be used as chemical fingerprints to distinguish wine grape varieties.
