Cosmetics made from natural ingredients are becoming more and more common because they contain bioactive compounds that provide many health benefits,are more environmentally friendly and sustainable.Anoectochilus roxb...Cosmetics made from natural ingredients are becoming more and more common because they contain bioactive compounds that provide many health benefits,are more environmentally friendly and sustainable.Anoectochilus roxburghii(AR)is a precious Chinese herb in China,possessing bioactive components including flavonoids,polysaccharides,volatile oils,kinsenoside,etc.Due to its unique bioactivity and high safety,the prospect of development and utilization is very broad.In this paper,the extraction,separation and purification techniques of AR’s flavonoid,polysaccharides,volatile oils and kinsenoside are briefly summarized.Meanwhile,we discusses their conformational relationships in cosmetics with antioxidant,whitening,antibacterial and soothing effect,and looks forward to the study of Anoectochilus roxburghii in the field of cosmetics,with a view to providing references to the development and utilization of this resource in the field of cosmetics.展开更多
As a traditional Chinese herbal medicine component,Corydalis yanhusuo is gradually attracting the attention of the skin care industry.In this study,Corydalis yanhusuo root extract dispersion(CTR50)was used as the rese...As a traditional Chinese herbal medicine component,Corydalis yanhusuo is gradually attracting the attention of the skin care industry.In this study,Corydalis yanhusuo root extract dispersion(CTR50)was used as the research object.The related activities of Corydalis yanhusuo root extract dispersion were studied by cytotoxicity test,in vitro and in vivo antioxidant test and cell scratch healing test.The results showed that the dispersion of Corydalis yanhusuo root extract had no cytotoxicity to HaCaT cells.When the concentration of Corydalis yanhusuo root extract dispersion was 5%,the scavenging rate of DPPH free radical was 35.05%,and the scavenging ability of hydroxyl radical was weak;CTR50 can significantly increase the activity of SOD in HaCaT cells,increase the content of antioxidant factor GSH in HaCaT cells induced by UVB,and improve the oxidative stability of skin;it significantly promoted the healing ability of HaCaT cells at the scratch site.It can be seen that the dispersion of Corydalis yanhusuo root extract has the potential to be used as a functional raw material for natural skin care products,which provides a theoretical basis for its development and application in the field of cosmetics.展开更多
In order to study the action mechanism of Sacha Inchi polypeptide in liquid crystal emulsion,oil-in-water liquid crystal emulsions with Sacha Inchi fermented polypeptide as the active component were prepared.The micro...In order to study the action mechanism of Sacha Inchi polypeptide in liquid crystal emulsion,oil-in-water liquid crystal emulsions with Sacha Inchi fermented polypeptide as the active component were prepared.The microstructures,particle sizes,stabilities,thermodynamic properties,and rheological properties of liquid crystal emulsions with different concentrations of the fermentation products were observed by Polarizing microscope,Particle size meter,Thermogravimetric differential thermal synchronous measurement system,and Rheometer,respectively.The results showed that the average particle size of fermented peptide liquid crystal emulsion was(25.7±2.8)μm,and the liquid crystal structure was complete and stable.The content of bound water and liquid crystal in the emulsion with 1%Sacha Inchi polypeptide were higher than those in the blank emulsion and the emulsions with 3%and 5%Sacha Inchi polypeptide.Rheological results indicated that the viscosity of liquid crystal emulsion with the change curve of shear rate registered the shear thinning phenomenon,which belongs to non-Newtonian fluid.The hysteresis area,energy storage modulus,and loss modulus of the 1%additive amount of liquid crystal emulsion were larger than those of the blank emulsion and the emulsions with 3%and 5%Sacha Inchi polypeptide,indicating greater thixotropy and stronger shear resistance.The hydrophilic amino acid residues of the peptide in the 1%additive amount of the emulsion were combined with the water phase,while the hydrophobic amino acid residues of the peptide entered the oil phase,which formed a viscoelastic film at the oil-water interface,so that the liquid crystal emulsion had a more stable gel network structure.展开更多
