The development of new medical technologies provides a better and effective non-surgical treatment of acute MI and increases long-term prognosis in this category of patients. The study aims to investigate the influence of hyperbaric oxygenation treatment on clinical outcomes (survival rate and recurrent myocardial infarction (rMI)) during the five-year period of monitoring. The study involved 697 patients who suffered from acute MI, having undergone the standard treatment. The patients were randomly divided into two groups: Group 1 (reference, n = 363);Group 2 (test, n = 334). Patients of Group 2 were given the traditional treatment, accompanied with HBOT (isopression for forty minutes at a working pressure of 0.03 MPa). HBOT was applied first through the fifth day following MI. The treatment course included six cycles, once per day. The clinical assessment was focused on clinical outcome: rMI and mortality related to cardiovascular events. HBOT application that accompanied the acute MI with traditional pharmacotherapy has been proved to reduce rMI within five years following inpatient discharge (rMI rate was 14% in the reference group and 5.4% in the test group, χ2 = 13.3, р < 0.05). The combination of HBOT with traditional methods in treating acute MI makes it possible to raise the five-year survival rate from 84.4% up to 95.9%.展开更多

Serum modification was realized by preliminary prescription of a single-dose drug to the patient. Then, the patient’s blood was sampled in the period of its maximal saturation with the drug. Autoserum from such blood samples was injected thrice into the knee joints affected by osteoarthritis of the 2nd or 3rd stages. The value of treatment results after 4 - 6 months of described therapeutics shows a significantly better therapeutic effect in the experimental of patient’s group as compared with the control group. The effect is connected with pain diminishing, normalization of the tissue joint nutrition, suppression of the local inflammation, and improvement of cartilage lubrication.展开更多

It is very important to identify a group of patients with increased risk of adverse outcomes to modify treatment and prevention. Significant assistance in resolving this problem is to provide a method of HM (Holter monitoring) which allows estimating the HRV (heart rate variability) and HRT (heart rate turbulence) parameters that are independent risk predictors of sudden cardiac death. The aim of our study was to assess HRV and HRT parameters in patients with AH of the II degree. Materials and methods: We have studied parameters of HRV and HRT in 214 patients with AH of the II-nd degree aged 35 to 70 (57.7 ± 7.6) years: 121 women (56.5%) and 93 men (43.5%). All patients underwent electrocardiography and echocardiography. Statistical analysis of the results has been made using the analytical package Statistics 10.0. Results: The parameters of HRV and HRT in patients with AH of the II degree were studied. Statistically significant correlations of the HRV parameters with the age of patients, average HR, circadian index, and EF (ejection fraction) were revealed. Statistically significant correlations of the HRT parameters with the LVMI (left ventricular mass index), EF, HR average were received. High level of the statistical significance of the interrelation of HRT parameters (TO and TS) has been revealed. Conclusions: The received results can be used during the selection of the group of patients with AH having high risk for unfavorable outcomes. Taking into account the features of the HRV and turbulence parameters and factors associated with them this will enable the individualization of the assessment of the risk in AH as much as possible and prescription of adequate treatment for each patient.展开更多
