Field training is the backbone of the teacher-preparation process.Its importance stems from the goals that colleges of education aim to achieve,which include bridging the gap between theory and practice and aligning with contemporary educational trends during teacher training.Currently,trainee students attendance in field training is recordedmanually through signatures on attendance sheets.However,thismethod is prone to impersonation,time wastage,and misplacement.Additionally,traditional methods of evaluating trainee students are often susceptible to human errors during the evaluation and scoring processes.Field training also lacks modern technology that the supervisor can use in case of his absence from school to monitor the trainee students’implementation of the required activities and tasks.These shortcomings do not meet the needs of the digital era that universities are currently experiencing.As a result,this paper presents a smart management system for field training based on Internet of Things(IoT)and mobile technology.It includes three subsystems:attendance,monitoring,and evaluation.The attendance subsystem uses an R307 fingerprint sensor to record trainee students’attendance.The Arduino Nano microcontroller transmits attendance data to the proposed Android application via an ESP-12F Wi-Fi module,which then forwards it to the Firebase database for storage.The monitoring subsystem utilizes Global Positioning System(GPS)technology to continually track trainee students’locations,ensuring they remain at the school during training.It also enables remote communication between trainee students and supervisors via audio,video,or text by integrating video call and chat technologies.The evaluation subsystem is based on three items:an online exam,attendance,and implementation of required activities and tasks.Experimental results have demonstrated the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed management system in recording attendance,as well as in monitoring and evaluating trainee students during field traiing. 展开更多

The present investigation was performed to assess nutritional status of wheat biscuits and wheat germ fortified biscuits. Study included determination of gross chemical composition, caloric value, minerals (Mn, Ca, Fe, Cu, P, Na and K), vitamins (C, Folic acid, A, and E), and amino acid composition of wheat biscuits and 15%, 20% wheat germ fortified biscuits. Likewise physical and sensory characteristics of studied biscuits were assessed. The data revealed that 20% wheat germ fortified biscuits proved to be nutritious functional healthful food. It improved both physical, sensory characteristics and recorded the highest crude protein (12.20%), crude fiber (2%), and the least fat (9.63%), moisture (3.01%), and caloric value (436.31 Kcal/100g). While it recorded the highest Mn and Cu contents as well as increased vitamins C, Folic acid, A, and E. Besides, 20% wheat germ fortified biscuits increased all the eight essential amino acids contents resulting in an improvement of the nutritive value of wheat biscuits. Therefore it could be recommended for caloric reduced diets for obese and overweight persons. Likewise, it should be increasing interest as an ingredient in the industry as functional and healthy foods formulations as biscuits, bread and cakes. 展开更多

Cypermethrin induced atypia in the ovary and uterus, and decreased the ovulation sites and the number of embryos. Cypermethrin-induced oxidative stress during pregnancy, decreased the parturition rate as well as the number and weight of offspring and increased the incidence of morphological malformations in the offspring. Administration of propolis to cypermethrin-treated animals mitigated cypermethrin-induced reproductive toxicity. 展开更多

Cinnamon and lemon are the oldest plants which possess a rising popularity due to their therapeutic potential from centuries. Cinnamomum zeylanicum and lemon (Citrus lemon L.) have been subjected to extensive research. Their essential oils were extracted by steam distillation from selected plants and their chemical compositions were determined by the GC-MS system. Cinnamon and lemon essential oils were examined for antioxidant activity by ABTS method which showed the ability to inhibit lipid per-oxidation. On the other hand, in antimicrobial investigations, cinnamon and lemon essential oils have inhibitory effect against Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli) using Muller Hinton agar medium. The essential oils of cinnamon and lemon showed antifungal effects which were tested against (Candida albicans). The volatile oil of cinnamon bark has been found to be highly effective against all the tested bacteria and fungi. However, lemon peel essential oil has shown medium inhibition for Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus). On the other hand, the cytotoxic activities of the essential oils were tested on hepatocellular carcinoma and colorectal carcinoma. Essential oils have shown good activities on the cell lines. Essential oil of cinnamon showed more inhibition rate than essential oil of lemon. This study reported the importance of both cinnamon and lemon volatile oils and recommends that cinnamon and lemon can be used as an active therapy for humans. 展开更多

Introduction: Various herbs have been used as treatment and prevention for several chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and triglyceridemia;one of those herbs is Rosemary, which has biological antioxidant mechanisms. Rosemary is a thorny Rhamnaceous plant which is widely distributed in Europe and South-Eastern Asia. It’s used in traditional medicine for its therapeutic properties. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) leaves powder on glucose level and lipid profile in human. Material and Methods: Forty eight adults’ men and women participated in this study which has been carried out in the UOK University. The participants were randomly selected and divided into 3 groups. The first group was given 2 g/day of Rosemary leaves powder, the second group was given 5 g/day of Rosemary leaves powder while the third group was given 10 g/day of Rosemary leaves powder for a period of 4 weeks. Blood samples were analyzed for glucose, lipid profile and antioxidant at the beginning and the end of the study and the results were statistically analyzed. Results: The results indicated that a significant decrease in blood glucose level in the groups given 5 g and 10 g of the herb powder was observed but the difference was more significant in the group given 10 g/day. Values for total cholesterol and triglycerides were very significantly lower in the three treated groups. LDL-C level was significantly lower in the group given 10 g of the herb powder, while the increased levels of HDL-C was statistically significant in the group that was given 10 g/day. With regard to lipid peroxidation, giving 10 g/day of Rosemary leaves powder decreased significantly MDA and GR values whereas significantly increases the values of vitamin C and β carotene. Conclusion: In conclusion Rosmarinus officinalis appears to improve not only hyperglycemia but also dyslipidemia in a dose dependent manner and decreases lipid peroxidation through increasing antioxidants levels and this will reduce the risk of chronic disease such as cardiovascular disease. 展开更多

Many of the existing approaches forpredicting wireless network traffic are unable to produce accurate predictionsbecause they lack the ability to describe the dynamic spatial-temporalcorrelations of wireless network traffic data. In this paper, we proposed anovel meta-heuristic optimization approach based on fitness grey wolf anddipper throated optimization algorithms for boosting the prediction accuracyof traffic volume. The proposed algorithm is employed to optimize the hyperparametersof long short-term memory (LSTM) network as an efficient timeseries modeling approach which is widely used in sequence prediction tasks.To prove the superiority of the proposed algorithm, four other optimizationalgorithms were employed to optimize LSTM, and the results were compared.The evaluation results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed approachin predicting the traffic of wireless networks accurately. The Effects of Varieties Sources of Omega-3 Fatty Acids on Diabetes in Rats

Fifty six male albi-no rats were divided into 7 group: first group was fed on normal basal diet (maintained at negative control group), group 2 diabetic group fed on 60% fructose, group 3 fed on 60% fructose + 8% fish oil, group 4 fed on 60% fructose + 8% flaxseed oil, group 5 fed on 60% fructose + 4% corn oil + 4% fish oil, group 6 fed on 60% fructose + 4% corn oil + 4% flaxseed oil and group 7 fed on 60% fructose + 4% fish oil + 4% flaxseed oil. Fatty acid composition of investigated oils show that the corn oil contained high levels of omega-6 fatty acid (LA: 56.95%), flaxseed oil contained high level of short chain omega-3 fatty acid (ALA: 56.31%), meanwhile fish oil only has high concentration of long chain omega-3 fatty acid 39.20% (23.98% of EPA and 15.22% of DHA). After 8 week feeding of fish oil, flaxseed oil, corn oil + fish oil, corn oil + flaxseed oil and fish oil + flaxseed oil show reduces levels of glucose by 49.09%, 44.0%, 43.4%. 43.6% and 44.9% respectively. Data revealed significant decrease (P < 0.05%) was observed of TC, TG, LDL and VLDL of all treatment. Urea and creatinine in diabetic rats was increase, in contrast the glutathione reduced was decrease compared to the control group. Fish oil show the highest decrease in urea and creatinene and the highest increase in glutathione levels and insulin compared to other sources of omega-3. Omega-3 fatty acids have potential effect to protect pancreas from up normality changes which induced in diabetic disease. The data suggest that omega-3 fatty acid and fish oil especially may be effective in the prevention of diabetic disease. 展开更多

The milk thistle plant is one of the famous plants that have been gaining popularity for its therapeutic potential for centuries. Milk thistle seed oil (MTSO) has been subjected to extensive research. The fixed oil was extracted from the seeds of Silybum marianum (L.) using petroleum ether as a solvent by a soxhlet device. GC-MS was used to identify the chemical composition of the oil. The antioxidant activity of MTSO was tested by the ABTS method, which showed the ability to inhibit lipid peroxidation. In addition, antimicrobial and antifungal investigations were examined. It proved that MTSO has an inhibitory effect against Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus), Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli), and antifungal effects (Candida albicans). MTSO has a slightly higher effectiveness against fungi than bacteria. Moreover, the cytotoxic activities of the oil on hepatocellular and colorectal carcinoma were examined. MTSO has shown a moderate cytotoxic effect on the HCT-116 cell line and a weak effect on HePG-2. Whereas;in vivo study has been done on five diagnosed patients who have impaired liver function, and were recruited for the study. Their weight ranged from 100 ± 30 kg, their age range was between 39 - 50 years. Each patient was given ten drops of MTSO daily and added to a little water for a four-week study period. MTSO has effects to improve the function of the injured liver. The present work aims to study Milk thistle seed oil, for estimating its pharmacological properties for the liver. This study focused on showing the importance of milk thistle seed oil in our lives as a source of antioxidants, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, and as an anti-cancer of the liver and colon. It also sheds light on its importance as a treatment for impaired liver, function and fatty liver, due to its improvement in all liver function markers, so it can be hired as an effective human therapy. 展开更多

The problems are that the filters in the local and international markets have increased complications in configuration, installation and cost without reaching the efficiency that humanity hopes. Throw materials and methods the chromatography-mass spectrometry in layers woven fabrics, and throw the nanotube of cotton filament for purification of water dyes and smells. Industry, in which mass spectrometry is a convenient, versatile method for characterization and identification of process throw the Nanotube of cotton filament for purification of water dyes and smells. Results came up with a theme “innovations in textiles”, and also, for characterization of fibers and contaminants of the fabrics. Additive manufacturing in layers woven fabrics, are the processes used to synthesize a volume object under computer control with successive material layers that have been used and highlighted. The conclusions has included chromatography-mass spectrometry drop, physico-chemical, biological, combined physical-biological and chemical-biological treatment processes recently being developed to meet Jet-filtration, the strict discharging limits set by ASTM standards. This study examined the effects of the enzyme cellulose on a few single jersey and interlock 100% flax t-shirts, two different styles of knit children’s clothes that differ in both their chemical and mechanical characteristics. Clothing samples were dyed using reactive colours and then subjected to normal acid cellulose enzyme treatment procedures. We evaluated some physical and mechanical features before and after cellulose treatments, then compared these characteristics. Its cellulose enzymatic processing enhances some mechanical properties of fibre knitwear, such as pilling resistance and retention of water. Some characteristics of fibre-knitted clothing, such as fabric weight, fabric thickness, fabric burst resistance, and seam tensile strength of T-shirt side seams, are reduced by cellulose enzyme treatment at a manageable rate. Compared to single-jersey all-fiber children’s T-shirts, interlocking 100% flax children’s T-shirts have a better effect of the enzyme cellulose treatment on the majority of physical and mechanical attributes. 展开更多

Vertical cultivation is the most important method in the future spatially in smart agriculture systems. The fourth different thickness soilless textile was used as the board to cultivate water-cress (Eruca Sativa). The vacuum pump model VRI V3 Dual Stage Vacuum Pump was constructed and used in the preliminary experimental test. It’s run to measure the water content and water absorption percentage for soilless board under lab conditions. Different tests were evaluated for the absorption sample after elapsed time 0.08, 0.17, 0.25, 5, 24 and 120 hours. Soilless board textile with thickness 32 mm, 26 mm, 21 mm and 16 mm made from the following material: woven fabric of Cotton. The four mattresses of smart textile as soilless vertical cultivation, measuring 40 cm width 60 cm length were created;it has filler from soft sawdust, a mixture of red (beech) and white (Swedish) wood. The result of preliminary test illustrated that the soilless board may be able to keep the amount of water for more than 72.3% after 5 days from edit water to soilless board. The soilless smart with 32 mm thickness gave highly growths of water-cress compared with the other smart mattress. 展开更多

Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine learning.Each feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical methods.As a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this research.Instability can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of results.Thus,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more equitably.We propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of attributes.In the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is increased.To test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments. 展开更多

Cardiac diseases are one of the greatest global health challenges.Due to the high annual mortality rates,cardiac diseases have attracted the attention of numerous researchers in recent years.This article proposes a hybrid fuzzy fusion classification model for cardiac arrhythmia diseases.The fusion model is utilized to optimally select the highest-ranked features generated by a variety of well-known feature-selection algorithms.An ensemble of classifiers is then applied to the fusion’s results.The proposed model classifies the arrhythmia dataset from the University of California,Irvine into normal/abnormal classes as well as 16 classes of arrhythmia.Initially,at the preprocessing steps,for the miss-valued attributes,we used the average value in the linear attributes group by the same class and the most frequent value for nominal attributes.However,in order to ensure the model optimality,we eliminated all attributes which have zero or constant values that might bias the results of utilized classifiers.The preprocessing step led to 161 out of 279 attributes(features).Thereafter,a fuzzy-based feature-selection fusion method is applied to fuse high-ranked features obtained from different heuristic feature-selection algorithms.In short,our study comprises three main blocks:(1)sensing data and preprocessing;(2)feature queuing,selection,and extraction;and(3)the predictive model.Our proposed method improves classification performance in terms of accuracy,F1measure,recall,and precision when compared to state-of-the-art techniques.It achieves 98.5%accuracy for binary class mode and 98.9%accuracy for categorized class mode. 展开更多

With the rapid spread of the coronavirus epidemic all over the world,educational and other institutions are heading towards digitization.In the era of digitization,identifying educational e-platform users using ear and iris based multi-modal biometric systems constitutes an urgent and interesting research topic to pre-serve enterprise security,particularly with wearing a face mask as a precaution against the new coronavirus epidemic.This study proposes a multimodal system based on ear and iris biometrics at the feature fusion level to identify students in electronic examinations(E-exams)during the COVID-19 pandemic.The proposed system comprises four steps.Thefirst step is image preprocessing,which includes enhancing,segmenting,and extracting the regions of interest.The second step is feature extraction,where the Haralick texture and shape methods are used to extract the features of ear images,whereas Tamura texture and color histogram methods are used to extract the features of iris images.The third step is feature fusion,where the extracted features of the ear and iris images are combined into one sequential fused vector.The fourth step is the matching,which is executed using the City Block Dis-tance(CTB)for student identification.Thefindings of the study indicate that the system’s recognition accuracy is 97%,with a 2%False Acceptance Rate(FAR),a 4%False Rejection Rate(FRR),a 94%Correct Recognition Rate(CRR),and a 96%Genuine Acceptance Rate(GAR).In addition,the proposed recognition sys-tem achieved higher accuracy than other related systems. 展开更多

Samples were analyzed fortnightly and monthly to determine the shelf life during the storage period by acidity and peroxide value. Physicochemical properties of fatty acids, total polyphenols, and total flavonoids of chia seed oil and ice milk samples were determined. Also, the overrun and sensory evaluation of ice milk samples were studied. Results indicated an increase in the absorption of omega-3 fatty acids (linolenic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid, docosapentaenoic acid, and docosahexaenoic “in the samples of” ice milk supplemented with chia seed oil compared with control. Furthermore, there has been an increase in natural antioxidants (total phenolic and total flavonoid contents) levels in the supplemented ice milk samples as compared to control. Furthermore, an increase in the shelf life of the supplemented ice milk samples was also noticed. Generally, fortification of ice milk with chia seed oil increased the concentration of omega-3 fatty acids and also improved the antioxidant properties of ice milk. 展开更多

The current study presents magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs)dispersed polyurethane(PU)nanofiber nanocoating with exceptional magnetic,thermal,hydrophobicity,and textural properties.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)was used to clarify the Fe3O4 MNPs synthesis,which had previously been accomplished using a single-step green method using molasses as a biowaste.The MNPs particles were then encapsulated in PU nanofibers with varying concentrations of 0.1,0.3,and 0.5 wt%.SEM revealed a homogenous,smooth,and consistent fiber morphology with a diameter of 173.61(size,nm),and the diameter rises with the addition of MNPs.With statistical significance(P<0.05),PU/MNPs nanofiber showed intense antibacterial activity against different microbes.Notably,PU/0.5 wt%MNPs exhibit advantages as antimicrobial packaging materials by maintaining the quality and freshness of the Karish cheese and extending its shelf life to 40 days while also boosting its gumminess(5.9,N),hardness(7.93,N),cohesiveness(0.6),and adhesiveness(1.14,mg).Iron content is quantified using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)to determine whether the developed materials are safe for food.These findings showed that PU/MNPs could be a valid alternative for controlling Karish cheese storage.Further research into the effectiveness of this method with various smear cheeses is possible. 展开更多
