By using the case study method, data were collected through classroom observation, interviews before and after class and content analysis. This paper investigates the use of exercises in 7 unit teaching classes of 2 primary school mathematics teachers from three dimensions: the content, the reason and the degree of the use of exercises. The use of 12 students’ exercises in textbooks is investigated from three dimensions: the content, the reason and the effect of the use of exercises. The paper also concludes the influence relationship between students’ use of textbooks and teachers, which provides reference significance for the editors of textbooks and first-line teachers.展开更多

They play a crucial role in teachers’ teaching activities. This study uses the case study method, interview method, observation method, and textual analysis method to analyze the use of teacher’s teaching materials by two teachers in the unit of “problem-solving strategies” from the perspective of cognitive degree, lesson preparation angle, depth of use, and result validity. It obtains the specific situation and influencing factors of teachers’ use of teacher’s teaching materials in actual teaching.展开更多

The study found that the background of “Geometry and Algebra” question formulation was monotonous, and the overall difficulty changed little;it emphasized the understanding and application of comprehensive knowledge;accordingly, the following suggestions were put forward: enrich the question context to broaden students’ thinking;attach importance to reverse thinking to improve problem-solving ability;emphasize mathematical operations to enhance mathematical literacy.展开更多
