Three different stress ratios(0, 0.3 and 0.5) were applied in this test. The variations of relative dynamic elastic modulus Erd and water-soluble SO2-4 contents in RAC were used to evaluate degradation progress. The changes in mineral products and microstructures of interior concrete were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD), the environmental scanning electron microscope(ESEM) and X-ray computed tomography(X-CT). The results indicate that flexural loading accelerates the degradation of RAC under sulfate attack and wetting-drying cycles by expediting the transmission of SO2-4 into interior concrete. Furthermore, the accelerated effect of flexural loading is more obvious with the increase of stress ratio, that is because higher stress ratios can accelerate the extension of microcracks and generate more channels for the transmission of SO2-4. Also, more expansive products(gypsum and ettringite) are generated by the reaction of Ca(OH)2 with SO2-4, which can further accelerate the degradation of RAC.展开更多

The carbonation front of Eco-HDCC was determined by X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry-thermal gravimetric methods. Results indicate that the carbonation front of Eco-HDCC after interaction tests is deeper than that of Eco-HDCC after single carbonation tests. In addition, the ultimate tensile strength for Eco-HDCC shows an increasing trend after the interaction of 1 to 5 cycles compared with that of virgin specimens, while the ultimate tensile strength decreases after the interaction of 10 to 15 cycles. For single carbonation tests, the ultimate tensile strength of Eco-HDCC increases as cycles increase. After being subjected to interaction and single carbonation environments, both the ultimate tensile strain and tensile strain energy of Eco-HDCC decrease as cycles increase, and the decrease degrees of Eco-HDCC after interaction cycles are larger than those of Eco-HDCC after single carbonation. For general consideration, the tensile stress-strain relationship of Eco-HDCC after the interaction of 15 cycles can be adopted in the design of bridge deck link slabs for the purpose of safety.展开更多

First, different kinds of mathematical models for the basic properties (compressive strength, water retention rate, and consistency loss) of RAM with two kinds of admixtures, thickening powders (TP) and self-made powdery admixtures (SSCT) designed for RAM, and the replacement rates were established, while the average relative errors and relative standard errors of these models were calculated. Additionally, the models and their error analyses for the curves of drying shrinkage and curing time of RAM + SSCT at different replacement rates were put forward. The results show that polynomial functions should be used to calculate the basic properties of RAM + TP and RAM + SSCT at different replacement rates. In addition, polynonfial functions are the most optimal models for the sharp shrinkage sections in the curves of drying shrinkage-curing time of RAM + SSCT, while exponential functions should be used as the models for the slow shrinkage sections and steady shrinkage sections.展开更多

The bending and tensile properties of HS-HDCCs with different fibers with a volume fraction of 2% were studied. The results indicate that PE,PVA,micro steel, and PVA-PE hybrid fibers impart varying degrees of toughening and improve the tensile strength. During the tensile and bending processes,HS-HDCCs with micro steel fibers exhibit a strain-softening phenomenon. HS-HDCCs with PVA fibers or with PVA-PE hybrid fibers can achieve multiple cracking behaviors and strain hardening phenomenon to a certain extent and show slight high-ductility characteristics. HS-HDCCs with PE fibers exhibit multiple cracking behavior and strain hardening phenomenon and show significant high-ductility characteristics. The test results can provide a basis for selecting fibers suitable for HS-HDCCs reinforcement.展开更多
